Parents of 6th Grade students who attended Troy last year, We are sending home the InView Home Report for your son/daughter. This assessment was given to the majority of our 5th graders during the last week of January 2017. Students with IEPs may not have taken the assessment since we already had ETR data that is much more detailed than this report will provide. Typically these reports are received by the district within 7-10 business days after testing is completed. Unfortunately, you are now receiving the reports due to circumstances beyond our district’s control. The Data Recognition Corporation (DRC) has recently acquired the TerraNova/InView assessments from McGraw-Hill. The transition process from the McGraw Hill systems to the DRC systems involved extensive additional processes and quality checks that required additional time, which has vastly delayed report delivery. The Avon Lake City School District is extremely sorry for any frustration or problems incurred by these delays. You may be assured that we were continuously working with DRC’s senior management to ensure that they were doing everything they could to deliver district data and reports as quickly as possible. We have been ensured that these delays were limited to this transition period and that we may anticipate delivery of all future materials within established timelines. Again, we truly regret any issues that these delays may have caused and we appreciate your patience and understanding. Sincerely, Andy Peltz, principal of Troy Intermediate
